Michael Owen Talbot, FBA (born 4 January 1943 in Luton) is a British musicologist and composer.[1][2]

Talbot is a former Professor of Music at the University of Liverpool.[3] An expert in Italian baroque music,[4] Talbot has authored monographs on Antonio Vivaldi and Tommaso Albinoni, and is an editor of the scholarly journal 'Studi Vivaldiani'. He is also active as a historicistcomposer, and a member of the 'Vox Saeculorum' society.[5]
